Earlier versions of PowerPoint let you customize your presentations using design templates and color schemes. Changing the dozen-plus settings controlled by a theme would exercise your click finger a lot more than that. PowerPoint assumes you want to use Slides view until you tell it otherwise. Lets you save a presentation as a reusable design template. Click the layout that you want for your slide.
